Favorite restaurant in San Angelo?
It was Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse. But, my new favorite restaurant is The Grill.
What advice would you give a student about choosing a university?
Don’t go for the popularity of a university. Go for a place where you can see yourself being successful and starting a new chapter of your life.
What advice would you give a student about succeeding in college?
Go to class no matter how tired you are… and don’t procrastinate!
Why did you decide to attend Angelo State University?
I liked the small-town atmosphere and smaller classroom settings.
What were your favorite activities and organizations in college and why?
My favorite activity was intramural basketball. I played in high school and love the sport. I was able to continue playing at a competitive level in college and it was a lot of fun. Intramurals are a great way to stay in shape and have fun with your friends.
What do you like about being an admissions counselor?
I love being an admissions counselor because I get to meet a lot of great people and travel all over the great state of Texas. I really enjoy encouraging students to attend Angelo State. When I see that a student has applied and been accepted, it really makes me feel like I’m doing a good job. My favorite part is when the students I helped recruit come by my office to see me. It really gives me a sense of satisfaction.
