Entering Freshmen
Requirements for High School Graduate
An applicant from an accredited or unaccredited high school must meet one of the following requirements to be eligible for regular admission:
- Satisfactorily complete the Texas Scholars Program or the Texas Advanced High School Program or the Distinguished Achievement Program
- Meet one of the items in the following table:
High School Test Scores Class Rank ACT SAT I Top Half No minimum No minimum 3rd Qtr 23 1030 4th Qtr 30 1270 - Have a 50% or greater probability of earning an overall C average (2.0 GPA) during the freshman year at ASU as computed from the student's high school grades and ACT or SAT I scores.

- Application for Admission
- Official transcripts of high school records
- Scores on the Enhanced American College Test (ACT) or the
- Scholastic Assessment Test I (SAT I)
- Texas Success Initiative (TSI) scores or proof or exemption
Requirements for General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
Present a composite score of 23 or above on the Enhanced American College Test (ACT) or a combined verbal and math scores of 1030 on the Scholastic Assessment Test I (SAT I)

- High school equivalency diploma from the Texas Education Agency or any other state education agency
- Scores on the Enhanced American College Test (ACT) or the
- Scholastic Assessment Test I (SAT I)
- Texas Success Initiative (TSI) scores or proof or exemption
