Delta Tau Alpha Honor Society
Delta Tau Alpha (DTA) is a National Agriculture Honor Society of men and women who are scholastically banded by their achievements in scholarship, leadership and character. The name Delta Tau Alpha has the common meaning, "Dedicated to Agriculture." Since the first year, DTA has grown to more than 30 chapters with over 4,000 members nationally.
What DTA Can Offer You
DTA is recognized not only on campus, but across the nation. Members of DTA are recognized on campus as those who have succeeded not only scholastically, but as individuals. A member enjoys experiences ranging from fellowship in group outings to trips to national conventions. Leadership opportunities are endless with chances for roles as a chapter officer, as members or chairs of fundraising or service committees, as a delegate to national conventions and even as a national officer.
What DTA Expects Of Members
DTA expects its members to be participants, not spectators who join only for an addition in their resume. DTA expects members to attend meetings, participate in decision making and in chapter activities and work toward objectives put forth. Members are expected to maintain their grade average, pay dues described by the Bylaws of DTA and cooperate fully with other members. But most importantly, DTA members are expected to be dedicated to Agriculture.
