Art Degree Programs
Undergraduate students can expand their vision and understanding of art in ASU’s art program. We offer these areas of specialization:
- Ceramics
- Graphic Design
- Painting/Drawing
- Printmaking
- Sculpture
- Art History
- Art Education
Each area of concentration has its own studio or classroom space and facilities as well as a faculty member who specializes in that area.
All art majors take courses that cover the principles of design, art history and drawing. The following art degree programs are offered in the department:
Art (Bachelor of Arts)
Students choose a specialization area, but also learn the basics of other areas of art. The degree plan is versatile and allows students to take several classes in other departments and subjects.
Art with All-Level Teacher Certification (Bachelor of Arts)
This option allows students to earn teacher certification so that they may teach art at any level in grades K-12.
Studio Art (Bachelor of Fine Arts)
Students choose a specialization area and take extensive classes in that area. This degree plan requires students to take more art courses than the art options above.
