ASNHC Endowment

In April 1998, during a celebration honoring the cataloging of the 10,000th mammal specimen, ASU announced the establishment of an endowment fund to support activities associated with the Angelo State Natural History Collections.

In this era of tighter budgets for state agencies, the curators of the ASNHC recognized the importance of private donations to support the vital mission of natural history collections. It is our goal that this endowment grows to the point that it can support student and faculty research projects associated with the collections as well as support the costs of curating and maintaining the collections.

Since its inception, the ASNHC endowment has grown to more than $17,000 through the generosity of private contributors.
