Carr Graduate Scholarship
Eligibility Criteria
- Must have regular admission to the College of Graduate Studies.
- Must submit a completed Institutional Scholarship Application.
- Must satisfy at least one of the following conditions:
- Have a combination of overall undergraduate grade point average and test score
(GRE or GMAT) results within Chart 1 below or - Have a combination of last 60 hour undergraduate grade point average and test score
(GRE or GMAT) results within Chart 2 below or - Have a combination graduate/undergraduate grade point average, calculated from the
formula GPA = [(UGPA x USCH) + 3(GGPA x GSCH)]/[USCH + 3(GSCH)], and test
score (GRE or GMAT) results within Chart 3 below.
- Have a combination of overall undergraduate grade point average and test score
- Must have at least a 4.0 score from the Analytical Writing Portion of either the GRE or the GMAT.
- Must have at least a 3.0 grade point average in any graduate course work completed (if any).
- Test scores taken from the same test date.

Award Evaluation and Selection
Applicants who satisfy the eligibility criteria will be awarded in merit order until all scholarship funds
are exhausted. Merit order will be determined by computing a merit index from the formula:
400 x GPA + verbal GRE score + quantitative GRE score or 400 x GPA + 2 x GMAT score.
(GPA used will be based on the above Eligibility Chart GPA.)
Test scores are taken from the same test date.

Award Amounts
Awards will cover a maximum semester credit hour (SCH) allotment, based on the remaining graduate SCH
left on the student’s degree plan. Term by term awards will be based on the following schedule.
Fall/Spring (per semester)
6-8 SCH: $1,500
9 or > SCH: $2,000
Doctorate of Physical Therapy Students $3,000
Summer (per term)
1-5 SCH: $ 500
6 or > SCH: $1,000
Doctorate of Physical Therapy Students $3,000
Candidates will be notified in writing of the decision on their applications. The criteria, procedures and deadlines for scholarship awards may be changed by ASU without notice. Scholarships are awarded without regard to race, color, religion, age, gender, national origin or disability.
