The President's Circle Enrichment Grant program provides direct support for outstanding enrichment projects initiated by faculty and/or students. Proposals are due to the Graduate Dean, Dr. Carol Diminnie, by the second Friday of March each year. Proposals from a student or students must be routed through a supporting faculty member. Proposals should be well-written and clearly describe the activity, the faculty and/or students involved, a detailed budget, and a statement of how this activity will enhance and expand educational experiences for students. All proposals must have Department Head sign-off, so please be sure your Department Head signs the proposal. Awards will be made by April 1 each year. Recipients have until the end of June in the following year to spend the award money.
The funding request may range from a minimum of $500 to a maximum of $20,000, with the average grant being $2,500. Proposals may be for research with students, student travel to conferences, or faculty projects which either directly involve students or impact what the faculty member will be teaching in the classroom. (This list is not exhaustive, but is meant to give you a flavor for the types of proposals expected. Be creative.)
