Teaching Experience

Before coming to ASU, Dr. Byars was employed at Arkansas State University, where he served as director of the Human Performance Laboratory in addition to teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in exercise science. He later served at Hardin-Simmons University in the same capacity before joining the ASU faculty in the spring of 2005.

Research Areas

Cardiopulmonary assessment, sport supplements, blood lipids, and measurement studies, an area in which he has published and presented extensively.

Teaching Experience

Dr. Doyle Carter returned to his alma mater during the summer of 2006 after serving most recently as vice president for academic affairs and professor of kinesiology at Lubbock Christian University. He began his career in 1983 as a high school teacher and coach. In higher education, he has also previously served as a college dean and a department chair.

Academic Activities

Supervises all graduate and undergraduate interns and is a member of the National Association for Kinesiology and Physical Education in Higher Education (NAKPEHE) and the Texas Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (TAHPERD).

Teaching Experience

Dr. Snowden came to ASU from Texas Christian University, where he served as a clinical associate professor and the athletic training education program director. Dr. Snowden has previously taught at Midwestern State University, where he served as the chair of the Department of Kinesiology, and at Eastern New Mexico University, where he served as the program chair.
