Earth Science Minor

An Earth science minor helps students pursue careers in the oil and gas industry or with the U.S. Geological Survey. The minor includes several geology courses as well as classes about petrology and hydrology, among others.

Beginning in fall 2010, the Physics Department will offer a bachelor’s degree in geology and students can start taking courses toward that major now. The program is designed to prepare students for studies toward a master’s degree in geology.
