Staffing

Residence Halls are staffed by well-trained, highly skilled Residence Life personnel. Our team of full-time professional and student paraprofessional staff are there 24 hours a day to offer support and guidance, oversee hall operations, respond to emergencies, help enforce ASU polices and procedures, and facilitate the sense of community unique to the residential experience.

Carefully selected upperclassmen serve as Resident Assistants and Student Hall Directors. These peer mentors can offer advice, help you work out minor problems, help you meet people and get involved in activities and programs, and provide information about the many other campus services available to students. In addition to the Resident Assistants and Student Hall Directors, Residence Life employs approximately 50 additional on-campus students each year to fill various other student positions- Desk Assistants, Office Assistants, Tutors, Summer conference Staff, etc.

Managing the day-to-day operation of the Residence Halls are four Professional Area Coordinators. These full-time university staff have specialized professional and academic training and experience. They are skilled in dealing with the wide range of experiences and issues common to "college life." They also serve as advisors to the Hall Associations. Get to know your Hall staff! They are a great resource!

The Residence Life Office is located in Hardeman 200. The Director of Residential Programs, Associate Director, Assistant Director, Room Assignments Coordinator, department Secretary, Accountant, Accounting Clerk and student assistants are available to answer your questions..
