Sara received her B.A. in English and professional writing (1985) and her M.Ed. in instructional technology with an emphasis in human performance improvement and training (2004) from Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich.
Sara’s introduction to Supplemental Instruction began in 2002 when she worked as an assistant coordinator for tutoring and Supplemental Instruction in the Academic Success Center at Wayne State. In July of 2005, Sara came to ASU to pilot the SI program, which operates out of the Center for Academic Excellence.

Misti Hooker received her B.B.A. in Management with a minor in Marketing from College of the Southwest (New Mexico) in 2002. After working as an Accountant for more than seven years, she has returned to her hometown of San Angelo to work on her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Misti works in the Center for Academic Excellence as the Assistant SI Coordinator. She is also editor of the SI newsletter.

Katie Plum received her B.A. in history with a minor in English from Angelo State University in 2001. After working for more than five years in grant writing and grants management at Shannon Health System in San Angelo, Katie came home to ASU to serve as the coordinator of sponsored projects for the College of Graduate Studies.
Jane Samuelson

Jane Samuelson graduated from Angelo State University in May 2005 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Child Development and Learning. After graduation, she taught school for a few years before returning to Angelo State University for her M.Ed. in Student Leadership and Development. While working on her M.Ed. degree, Jane has been involved with the Pearl of the Concho Writing Project as a graduate assistant and participant. She is also a professional SI observer for the Office of Supplemental Instruction.
