    December 17, 2013 - Calendar year 2013 has been another banner year for Angelo State University students, faculty and staff as they again garnered numerous state and national honors, awards and grants for academic and extracurricular activities.

  • ASU Accreditation Reaffirmed

    December 13, 2013 - Angelo State University has earned reaffirmation with no recommendations for improvement for its accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) following the December annual meeting of the accrediting body’s board of trustees.

  • ASU Nurse Honor Society Induction

    December 10, 2013 - Angelo State University’s Nursing Honor Society will add 22 new members during an induction ceremony on Friday, Dec. 13, in the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.

  • ASU Fall Commencement Activities

    December 9, 2013 - More than 500 students are scheduled to graduate during Angelo State University’s fall commencement ceremonies on Saturday, Dec. 14, in the Junell Center/Stephens Arena, 2235 S. Jackson St.

  • Classes Cancelled Dec. 6

    December 5, 2013 - Due to inclement weather and hazardous road conditions, Angelo State University has cancelled all classes for Friday, Dec. 6.

  • ASU to Host Poetry Performances

    November 27, 2013 - Angelo State University’s University Center Program Council (UCPC) will host an evening of poetry performances featuring Austin-based poet Lacey Roop on Thursday, Dec. 5, in the ASU Auditorium inside the Mayer Administration Building, 2601 W. Avenue N.

  • ASU Planetarium Holiday Shows

    November 26, 2013 - Angelo State University’s Global Immersion Center (GIC), formerly the Planetarium, will present a special holiday public astronomy show during December in the Vincent Nursing-Physical Science Building, 2333 Vanderventer St.

    November 22, 2013 - Angelo State University’s Department of Visual and Performing Arts will present its semiannual Opera Music Theatre Workshop program on Sunday, Nov. 24, in the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building, 2602 Dena Drive.

    November 20, 2013 - Angelo State University’s Meat Judging Team finished second out of 19 teams and placed three individuals in the top 10 at the 2013 American Meat Science Association’s (AMSA) International Meat Judging Contest on Nov. 17 in Dakota City, Neb.

    November 18, 2013 - Angelo State University’s Club Café coffeehouse entertainment series will host Los Angeles-based pop singer Jessie Payo on Wednesday, Nov. 20, in the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.

    November 18, 2013 - Angelo State University’s Multicultural Center will present Noche en Sinaloa (An Evening in Sinaloa) on Friday, Nov. 22, at the ASU Pavilion near the Plaza Verde residence hall, 1941 S. Van Buren St.
