Wind Ensemble Fall Concert ‘Classical Winds’
The Angelo State University Wind Ensemble will perform its fall concert “Classical Winds” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, in University Auditorium.
The program will showcase four centuries of great music for winds, including “Serenade in C-Minor” by Mozart, Samuel Barber’s “Commando March,” Gustav Holst’s “First Suite in E-Flat” and Percy Grainger’s “Handel in the Strand.”
The Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Dr. David Scott, director of bands and professor of music. Guest conductor will be Daniel Smithiger, assistant director of bands. The concert is open free to the public.
