Writer-Comedian to Perform at ASU’s Club Cafe
Writer and stand-up comedian Lee Camp will bring his biting social commentary to Angelo State University’s Club Café coffeehouse entertainment series Wednesday, Sept. 30, in the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.
Camp will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 30 in the C.J. Davidson Conference Center. Admission is $1 and the audience will receive free Club Café coffee mugs. Coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate, cookies and brownies will be served.
Camp has performed at more than 400 colleges in the past five years and was a featured entertainer at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. He also “ran for president” on Comedy Central’s “Fresh Debate ’08.” He serves as host and co-writer of On-Demand cable channel’s “The Movie Loft” and has appeared on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” Camp has also appeared on numerous network interview shows with comedic commentary and is a regular contributor to The Onion and The Huffington Post Web sites.
Winner of “Best of the Fest” at the 2009 Montreal Comedy Festival, Camp was also a finalist in the New York Comedy Festival’s Funniest Comic Contest.
