Patient Confidentiality Rules

Doctors and counselors at Angelo State University cannot share clinical information with anyone, including parents, without the permission of student patients age 18 and older. The exception to this would be if students are in impending danger of hurting themselves or others or are incapable of taking care of themselves.

ASU encourages students and parents to maintain open communication to avoid situations in which parents are worried about the health and well-being of their students.
