Scholarships and Benefits
Angelo State University provides partial scholarships for cheerleaders. The amount of the scholarship is as follows:

| Less than 2 full semesters | $600.00 |
| 2-3 full semesters | $675.00 |
| 4-5 full semesters | $750.00 |
| 6 or more full semesters | $825.00 |
The university provides transportation, meals, and lodging whenever the squad travels out of town. Each member is expected to purchase their own shoes, workout clothing, and other personal items. In addition, ASU provides supplemental medical insurance for any injuries sustained while participating in official cheerleader activities. This insurance coverage is coordinated with any personal insurance the student may have.
