Dine-A-Dozen
Every fall San Angelo community leaders and alumni join forces with Angelo State University to welcome our new students into the community. In September approximately 150 students are nominated by faculty and staff to participate in ASU's Dine-A-Dozen program. The purpose of Dine-A-Dozen is to connect with fellow students and community members. Families and/or community groups do this by opening up their homes to 10 new students, an ASU staff member and a returning student leader for an evening of food, conversation and fun. Dine-A-Dozen groups reunite in the spring semester when students join us in entertaining their host families for dinner on ASU's campus. Students have enjoyed their new friendships so much that a large number continue to foster their Dine-A-Dozen connections throughout the year.
Special thanks to the 2007 year's host families and community groups!
