Off-Campus Organizations and Functions

The student handbook states in part, “Students are also expected to comply with all federal and state laws. This principle extends to conduct off-campus which is likely to have an adverse effect on the university or on the educational process.” Presently there are two fraternities with activities at off-campus locations. Any criminal activity taking place is monitored by University Police through the city or county police and the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. Security is maintained at other campus-wide events that take place off-campus, such as football games, through the use of University Police officers and area officers hired by the university.
